YB Senator Datuk Ras Adiba added that the lack of proper outreach and weak registration enforcement makes it difficult for proper assistance to be provided to the OKU community. “Therefore aids and donation assistance such as these colorful & cheery-looking Yuka Zan masks will go a long way in helping out as we always believe that no one should be left behind, especially in the area of self-protection in times of pandemic,” said Datuk Ras Adiba.

OKU Sentral is committed to carrying out its “ACE” philosophy – which advocates “Activities, Career and Education” for the OKUs. “There is a still a lot of stigma associated with OKUs that leads to isolation and discrimination. We are committed to creating more public awareness, empowering disabled people and looking into various avenues to provide aid and welfare for this community,”said Datuk Ras.

Datuk Ras concluded to urge all persons with disabilities who have yet to register with Social Welfare Department to do so to ensure they are included in the National Covid 19 Immunisation Programme.
