QSR BRANDS COLLABORATES WITH RTM’S JELAJAH SERIES
TO BENEFIT THE UNDERPRIVILEGED ASNAF WITH A CONTRIBUTION OF RM250,000 IN BUSINESS ZAKAT
QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), Malaysia’s first and only fully integrated food operator that operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Ayamas & Life which guarantees full halal compliance in all of its Group markets, contributed Wakalah Zakat worth RM250,000 to be distributed to the underprivileged asnaf in a strategic collaboration with Malaysia’s longest-running media network, RTM and Wilayah Persekutuan Islamic Religious Department (JAWI).
The Wakalah Zakat contribution will be distributed in 76 locations identified by RTM’s Jelajah series; Jelajah Ramadan, Jelajah Raikan Syawal, & Jelajah Kami Prihatin in conjunction with RTM’s 76th anniversary.
“We are honoured to once again collaborate with RTM in a strategic partnership where together we are able to expand our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by giving back to the underprivileged communities, especially during the holy months. With more locations added to the RTM’s Jelajah series, we hope our Wakalah Zakat contribution will more or less be beneficial to more of those in need and bring joy to them,” said Mr. Hayazi Bin Darus, Acting Head of Shariah and Halal Compliance Department of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd.
RTM’s Jelajah Ramadan, Jelajah Raikan Syawal & Jelajah Kami Prihatin will be executed on April, May, June respectively.
YBhg. Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad bin Mentek, Secretary General of Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (in suit) accepted the Wakalah Zakat mock cheque of RM250,000 from Mr. Hayazi Bin Darus, Acting Head of Shariah and Halal Compliance Department of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd on 1 April 2022 at the Launching Ceremony of RTM Jelajah.
