MIFB 2026 Powers the Next Wave of F&B Innovation
Malaysia’s premier F&B trade fair celebrates 25 years of connecting businesses, driving innovation and accelerating regional growth
KUALA LUMPUR, 16 July 2026 – Malaysia reinforced its position as a regional hub for food and beverage (F&B) trade and innovation as the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 officially opened at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Celebrating its 25th edition, the three-day event brings together industry leaders, manufacturers, buyers and innovators to explore new business opportunities, strengthen partnerships and shape the future of Southeast Asia’s F&B industry.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Y.B. Datuk Chan Foong Hin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, who attended as Guest of Honour and delivered a keynote address on navigating global supply chain challenges and strengthening the industry's readiness for future growth.
Held under the theme "Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave," MIFB 2026 arrives at a pivotal time as businesses respond to evolving consumer demands, sustainability expectations and increasingly complex supply chains. Over the past 25 years, MIFB has evolved beyond a traditional trade exhibition into a leading B2B platform that facilitates knowledge exchange, cross-border collaboration and commercial growth across the region.
A key highlight is the MIFB Knowledge Hub, which features practical sessions on AI and automation, operational efficiency, business scaling, export readiness and data-driven decision-making. Speakers from leading organisations including Toastmaker, HEXA IOT, Tetra Pak, StoreHub, Subway, Supergulp, PurelyB, World Halalpreneur Council and WonderBrew will share actionable insights, alongside Celebrity Chef Alan Coxon, who will present Building F&B Brands That Last 40 Years, Not 40 Days.
MIFB 2026 also celebrates excellence in Malaysia's specialty coffee industry through the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in partnership with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA). This year's championship recognises the achievements of Malaysian champions Nas Jaafar, winner of the 2026 World Brewers Cup, and Jacky Chang, 1st Runner-Up at the 2026 World Latte Art Championship, underscoring the country's growing reputation on the global coffee stage.
Further strengthening its international appeal, MIFB welcomes country pavilions from China, India, Poland, South Korea, Türkiye, Thailand and other participating markets, providing buyers with direct access to global suppliers, innovative products and new sourcing opportunities.
Complementing the exhibition are curated business programmes including MIFB ChefTable, showcasing award-winning culinary creations by Team PCS Culinary Malaysia; MIFB Connect, a dedicated business matching platform linking exhibitors with qualified buyers across retail, manufacturing and HoReCa sectors; and MIFB Launchpad, where emerging F&B startups pitch innovative solutions to investors.
"Businesses today are seeking more than products—they are looking for partnerships, ideas and solutions that can help them succeed in a rapidly changing market," said Roger Lim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of One International Group. "MIFB brings together the entire food ecosystem to create meaningful connections, unlock new market opportunities and support sustainable industry growth."
MIFB, MCE and MYFT 2026 are open exclusively to trade visitors and industry participants.
