HEINEKEN Malaysia Maintains Long-Term Focus, Declares 40 Sen Interim Dividend
KUALA LUMPUR, 7 August 2026 – HEINEKEN Malaysia Berhad (HEINEKEN Malaysia) reported a softer financial performance for the second quarter and first half ended 30 June 2026, reflecting subdued consumer demand and ongoing inventory normalisation across its customer and distributor network. Despite near-term market headwinds, the Board has declared a 40 sen single-tier interim dividend, underscoring its confidence in the Group's long-term growth strategy.
For the second quarter, Group revenue declined 19% year-on-year to RM434.7 million, while profit before tax fell 39% to RM66.6 million. Net profit eased 39% to RM50.5 million. Lower operating expenses helped partially offset the impact of the reduced revenue base.
For the first half of 2026, revenue stood at RM1.1 billion, down 16% from the corresponding period last year. Profit before tax moderated 24% to RM204.2 million, while net profit declined 24% to RM155.0 million.
Commenting on the results, Managing Director Martijn van Keulen said the Group remains focused on strengthening the business despite the softer operating environment.
"Amid softer consumer demand and inventory normalisation in the first half of 2026, we remained focused on strengthening the foundations of the business for long-term growth. We continue to advance key EverGreen 2030 priorities, including strengthening execution, advancing digital transformation and preparing for export opportunities," he said.
The Group expects export activities to commence in the third quarter of 2026 as part of its EverGreen 2030 strategy to optimise supply chain capacity, improve operational efficiency and strengthen manufacturing capabilities through planned production line modernisation.
While consumer sentiment remains cautious, HEINEKEN Malaysia said it will continue to closely manage inventory levels, maintain disciplined cost management and invest in strategic initiatives to support future growth.
The interim dividend of 40 sen per stock unit will be payable on 14 October 2026, with an entitlement date of 24 September 2026.
