Celebrating 25 Years of Creative Innovation: Grand Gala Honours Adam Ham as ASEAN’s Most Connected Entrepreneur
Malaysia’s creative and entertainment elite gathered for a glittering evening to celebrate Adam Ham, one of the nation’s most connected and influential figures in the industry. The gala marked his 25th year of advancing Malaysia’s creative economy and his 50th birthday, in a celebration that was both star-studded and heartfelt.
The highlight of the night was the presentation of a special ASEAN Records award, naming Ham as ASEAN’s Most Connected Entrepreneur in the creative media and entertainment sectors. The official title—“Largest Collection of Creative Media & Entertainment Contacts in a Single Mobile Directory by One Individual”—underscored his extensive regional influence.
Held jointly at Laut and The Fishermen’s Club in Mont Kiara Meridin, the event welcomed over 300 guests, including VIPs, media, and celebrities. Themed “Nightmare on Adam’s Street,” it was graced by Dato’ Sri Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and held under the patronage of Dato’ Kamil Othman, former FINAS Chairman. Among the notable attendees were Diana Danielle, Ruhainies, Elizabeth Tan, and Amelia Henderson, who joined Ham in a joint birthday celebration. Supported by more than 70 sponsors and partners including Gintell, Vivo, OneCare Wellness, VitaHealth, and Kinohimitsu, the event embodied Ham’s enduring role as a connector across industries.
“Adam represents Malaysia’s creative resilience and innovation,” said Dato’ Sri Arthur. “Even during the toughest times, he found ways to keep the industry moving.”
Ham began his career in 2000, working with MDEC and FINAS to promote Malaysian titles such as Upin & Ipin and Legenda Budak Setan at international markets. In 2011, he founded the Global Creative & Media Agency (GCMA) to connect Malaysia’s creative sectors with global opportunities.
Reflecting on his recognition, Ham said, “Relationships and trust are everything. Malaysia’s creative community thrives on lifting each other up.”
With a network exceeding 25,000 contacts across ASEAN, Adam Ham continues to strengthen regional ties and inspire the next generation of creative talent.
