Laundry Relief: dobiQueen Supports 30 Homes in the Klang Valley 

dobiQueen, Malaysia’s leading laundrette, has a long-standing commitment to creating social impact beyond business by empowering women and single parents through empathy-driven innovation and inclusive leadership. 

dobiQueen announced the start of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that aims to support a total of 30 underserved homes in the Klang Valley, with a focus on orphanages, special needs children, and women from various religions and ethnicities, by providing free laundry services for a duration of three months.

“We hope to address essential needs such as hygiene, health, and dignity through access to clean and perfumed clothing and bedding. 

“By easing both the cost and time burden of laundry, these communities can redirect their resources towards self-development, self-care, and building a better future,” said Nini Tan, Co-founder and Executive Director of dobiQueen.

dobiQueen also actively hires single parents and members of the B40 community by offering meaningful opportunities, job stability, and long-term support. 

Most recently, dobiQueen introduced its “Single Parent Welfare Support” programme, which rewards high-performing single-parent employees with monthly incentives of up to RM500. This initiative strengthens the workforce and aligns with dobiQueen’s broader mission to empower women and foster a more supportive society.

According to Khazanah Research Institute (KRI), Malaysian women shoulder a much larger share of unpaid care responsibilities, despite spending comparable hours in paid employment. In 2023, 62.1 per cent of women who were outside the labour force reported housework as the primary reason for not seeking employment.

“Our mission has always been to reduce the burden of household chores by providing quality and accessible laundry services to empower individuals and families to reclaim their time and energy for what truly matters, their well-being and their loved ones,” she further added.
