JAC N90 Arrives with Cummins Power, Smart Safety and Lower Running Costs

JAC Auto (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has introduced the all-new JAC N90, a next-generation 7.5-tonne light-duty truck engineered to deliver stronger performance, enhanced safety and greater operating efficiency for Malaysia’s growing logistics and transport sectors.

Unveiled at the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 (MCVE from 14 May - 16 May 2026) at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), the new N90 combines proven Cummins-powered performance with advanced driver-assistance systems and versatile body configurations, making it suitable for suburban deliveries, construction work and long-distance haulage.

The launch was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke during his visit to the JAC Auto (Malaysia) booth.

According to Oscar Yu, General Manager of JAC International, the N90 reflects JAC Motors’ continued commitment to delivering technologically advanced commercial vehicles that balance performance, reliability and operational savings.

Powered by a Cummins B4.5 Euro V engine paired with an Eaton-Fuller ESO-6106A transmission, the N90 delivers 118kW of power and 540Nm of torque, providing strong pulling capability while improving fuel efficiency. Operating within an optimal 1,200–1,600rpm range at highway speeds, the truck is estimated to reduce fuel consumption by up to five percent compared with conventional direct-drive systems.

Now in its sixth generation, JAC’s light-duty truck platform has recorded more than 3.2 million global sales, reinforcing its reputation as a dependable commercial workhorse. The N90 further strengthens that legacy with multiple wheelbase options ranging from 3,365mm to 4,800mm, enabling a wide variety of cargo, refrigerated and specialised body applications.

Inside, the N90 features a modern driver-focused cabin equipped with an air-suspension seat, adjustable armrest, 10.4-inch multimedia touchscreen and LCD instrument cluster for improved comfort and connectivity.

Safety features include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR), Hill-Start Assist (HAS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), enhancing stability and confidence across varying road conditions.

Priced from RM118,000 for the bare chassis, the JAC N90 comes with a six-year or 300,000km warranty, alongside a complimentary 10,000km free service programme aimed at lowering ownership costs for fleet operators and businesses.
