Intermark Mall Welcomes the Year of the Horse with “Heritage in Bloom”
Intermark Mall ushers in the Year of the Horse with Heritage in Bloom, a thoughtfully curated Chinese New Year celebration that pays homage to Peranakan heritage while embracing contemporary urban living. Running until 26 February 2026, the campaign invites visitors to experience culture, craftsmanship and festive joy through a modern lifestyle lens — one that reflects optimism, movement and new beginnings for the year ahead.
At the heart of the celebration, the Ground Floor Atrium is transformed into a vibrant Peranakan-inspired landscape. Intricate florals, ornate motifs and bold, joyful hues set the tone, while a charming Peranakan House installation anchors the space, guiding visitors through an immersive cultural journey. Every detail is designed to evoke the richness of tradition while remaining effortlessly relevant to today’s city lifestyle.
Adding to the festive atmosphere is the Heritage CNY Marketplace, where curated offerings from Carven Ong and SoMe Boutique showcase festive fashion, artisanal merchandise and handcrafted pieces. These thoughtfully selected finds celebrate cultural craftsmanship with a contemporary sensibility, perfect for those seeking meaningful gifts or statement pieces for the season.
“Peranakan culture reflects Malaysia’s layered history, where diverse influences come together to create something truly distinctive,” said Evelyn Woon, General Manager (Marketing) of Intermark Mall. “With Heritage in Bloom, we aim to present these cultural expressions in a way that feels organic within an urban lifestyle setting. In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026, we are excited to bring this experiential celebration to the heart of Kuala Lumpur, featuring authentic Peranakan kebayas, intricately beaded Nyonya sandals and traditional flavours.”
Throughout the month-long celebration, visitors can enjoy a series of curated experiences designed for all ages. Traditional lion dance performances bring festive energy and good fortune, while the Elegant Table Setting and Dining Etiquette showcase offers inspiration drawn from Peranakan hospitality and customs. These experiences are further enhanced by curated table styling elements from interior stylist Dr Garima Chopra, whose work highlights heritage craftsmanship through visual storytelling.
Food lovers can also take home celebrated Peranakan flavours with cooking ingredients and cookbooks by award-winning celebrity chef Debbie Goh, honoured at the World Gourmet Awards 2024. Embracing the spirit of renewal, the campaign features Blooming Spring Cleaning through a pre-loved clothing collection and the ReBag initiative, encouraging mindful beginnings for the year ahead.
Exclusive festive redemptions await shoppers throughout the campaign, making Heritage in Bloom a celebration of culture, connection and prosperity — thoughtfully presented for today’s Chinese New Year festivities.
